Emma McDonald Diamond is a professional photographer living in Beacon, NY. Raised in North Carolina, Emma pursued her formal education in fine arts, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography from the East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Her 15-year professional career has led her to become an award winning photographer in the wedding industry. More recently, Emma’s photography journey has taken her back to her roots, working in silver gelatin and alternative processes, such as Polaroid transfers. Her experience as a mother and artist intertwines to create a body of work that is both personal and universal, capturing the essence of parenthood.

Through my recent work, I am attempting to unravel the labyrinth of emotions that accompany the transition into parenthood. In the delicate balance of fragility and resilience, I am discovering grace in the struggle. This imagery speaks of the silent battles waged within, the triumphs of survival, and the quiet moments of healing.
